Welcome to Our New Website
After more than ten years, our web presence was well overdue for an overhaul. We are proud to unveil our new website. It’s a clean, responsive site that scales to fit practically any device, from small mobile phones and tablets to desktops and laptops with large displays. This new website offers a modern environment where you can enjoy easy access to County resources and information.
A Work In Progress
The web is a living, fluid communication platform. We are constantly making updates. We have made sure the majority of the links and resources from the old site are available in the new site, but some things are not available at the exact same web address or URL. Our site has a convenient search feature. You can find it in the menu area toward the top of the page (look for the magnifying glass icon).
Convenient Access to Documents
Our Agendas & Minutes are available in a more convenient, hierarchical interface. We think you’ll appreciate how they are organized, and they should display cleanly in your browser. You can also download them to your device if desired. Our Online Forms page is organized in a similar manner.
Glimpses of Abbeville County
We have a new page designed to showcase the beautiful vistas and places around us. Our Images page is a place where you can find photos of sights in Abbeville County from local professional and amateur photographers.
Consistency and Simplicity
An over-arching goal for our website redesign was a consistent, simple experience. Our department pages are built with the same layout showing the contact information and other essential details at the top of the page. We have a simple navigation (easiest to use on a desktop, but available also on mobile devices) that is organized by area and allows for at-a-glance access. We are hopeful that this new experience proves helpful for our citizens.
Thank you for taking a look at our new site. If you have any feedback, we would love to hear from you. Contact David Garner, County Director via email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
