Temporary Position- 8- Weeks
September 16th -November 8th
8:30-5pm Monday-Friday
Summary:
The purpose of this position is to provide administrative support to Registration & Elections Department. This class works under close to general supervision according to set procedures but determines how or when to complete tasks.
Essential Duties
- Answer telephones and responds to inquiries; maintain accurate details of all phone calls.
- Meet and greet voters.
- Create and modify documents using Microsoft Office.
- Perform general clerical duties to include but not limited to: photocopying, faxing, mailing, and filing.
- Maintain filing system (hard copies) of Voter Registration applications.
- Support staff in assigned Elections/Voter Registration based work.
- Study training manuals.
- Contact potential Poll Managers and maintain Poll Manager database
- Performs related work as assigned.
Minimum Education and Experience Qualifications
- High School graduation or GED equivalent.
- One (1) year of clerical experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Physical Demands
- Performs sedentary work that involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time: requires little or no dexterity.
