Family Court Clerk

The purpose of this position is to collect and disburse of court ordered child support.

This class works under close to general supervision according to set procedures but determines how or when to complete tasks.

Essential Duties

  • Collects court ordered fines and fees.
  • Maintains daily log of checks, cash intake and disbursements.
  • Provides assistance whenever needed scheduling hearings, time stamping documents and making case files.
  • Prepares wage withholding forms with or without administrative hearing.
  • Provides certified copies to the court or public.
  • Closes out daily, make deposits for child support and DSS bank accounts.
  • Performs related work as assigned.

Minimum Education and Experience Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Two (2) years of bookkeeping or accounting or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Special Certifications and Licenses:

  • Must be bondable.
